Although we do not go for his 6 month check up until next week, I am pretty sure that our Little Liam will be up in the percentages at this visit. He's a beast! I'm putting my guess in for 18lbs. I don't know where to guess for length but I do think he is stretching out. When I lay him on the changing table, I just stare in amazement, picturing where his head and toes were when we first brought him home. He's practically filling out 9 month outfits now!
- Rolling over - both back to belly and belly to back. Sometimes even in a continuous motion and travels from one end of the room to another.
- Introduction to baby food - Our first try was pears which he loved, then onto sweet potatoes (couldn't get them in fast enough), apples ... yummy and just yesterday we introduced carrots ... I'm still trying to gauge his reaction to this one. Onto bananas and peas in the coming days.
- TWO TEETH! Yeap... they broke through on the bottom on July 15th. Each morning I would feel around letting Liam suck on my (freshly washed) finger and I immediately felt two sharp little teeth poking through. So exciting! No wonder he's been chewing so hard on everything.
- We are sitting up on our own... but still a bit wobbly. I have to stay pretty close just in case he decides he wants to take a nose dive.
- Speaking of diving... we had our first experience with a pool. Had a pool party for a friend and he enjoyed the cool water. Kicking his legs like crazy and figuring out what was going on. I didn't get any smiles out of him but I could tell he was partly enjoying it. Attempt #2 will be tomorrow. Stay tuned.
We had professional photos taken on Wednesday evening to mark his 6 month birthday.... so as soon as we get those back, I'll be sure to put a few up on the blog. Keep watching for those. And I'll be sure to post our stats after our check up next week.
